Program Overview

St. Timothy’s Vacation Bible School program has over a decade of success.  St. Timothy VBS program has grown to serving over 300 children each summer. Children ages 4-18 can enjoy our program. Each child receives a t-shirt (must be worn daily), faith materials, craft projects, and snacks and each family receives a VBS music CD.

On May 13, 1917, Our Lady appeared to three shepherd children at the Cova da Iria, in Fátima, Portugal.  On this 100th Anniversary Year of the Our Lady of Fatima Apparition, it is important for our children to understand Our Lady’s Mysteries and Messages.  We have selected a new program this year because of its focus on Our Lady.

This year’s program, entitled Tracking Mary: Mysteries & Messages, features the Queen of Heaven Express – a special holy train traveling to the faraway places around the globe visited by Our Blessed Mother: Lourdes, Fatima, Guadalupe, England and Ireland. Children discover how Mary brings us closer to Jesus through the power of the Rosary. Mysteries and Messages are revealed at each stop. The program focuses on Catholic identity and teaches the Bible from the Catholic perspective. It introduces saints as faith heroes and heroines while encouraging family prayer through a daily Rosary. Children will enjoy skits, activities and games. Sensational, easy-to-make crafts reflect each day’s theme. Songs from the Soul Tracks Music CD are lively and the lyrics enrich the overall program.

 Three Parallel Programs

St. Timothy’s VBS program offers three different programming tracks:

  • Preschool – For children ages 4-5 years old, including kindergartners.
  • Elementary – For children 1st – 4th grade.
  • Jr. Teen – For children 5th – 6th grade.

The Teens, 7th – 12th graders, help the adults in running the VBS programs. Teens can help with precamp preparations (create posters, decorations, etc), be a puppeteer or act in assembly skits, dance on stage, and more.
